Sarver Children's Center: Meet Our Teachers

Carmi Cueto Amarando is the Spanish Teacher at Sarver Children's Center. Carmi is from the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, where she grew up attending American/Bilingual Schools. She studied English, Painting, and worked as an English/Spanish translator for Missionary Groups in small villages. She moved to the United States in 2010 after marrying her husband. She has two children, Matthew (5) and Elizabeth (3).  Carmi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational and Industrial Psychology, and has studied Human Figure Drawing/Interpretation, Communications, and Baking. Carmi teaches children Spanish through Art, Circle Time, Storytelling, Songs, and Games. She works to unify all aspects of the curriculum to enhance our children's learning experience through the unique Spanish Program offered at Sarver Children's Center.  

Mrs. Carmi Cueto Amarando

Maddie Wonders is the Pre-K Teacher at Sarver Children's Center. She is a graduate of Freeport High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Maddie is a Certified PA Early Childhood Teacher with Special Education Certification. She completed her student teaching in at the Kindergarten level in New Zealand where she specialized in Arts Integration in the regular Classroom setting. She studied and speaks French. Maddie incorporates developmentally appropriate strategies to teach Reading, Math, Inquiry, and Fine Arts to our young students through Thematic Learning Experiences. She is certified in Pediatric and Adult First Aid and CPR.

Ms. Maddie Wonders

Tara Odille has experience at all age levels in Early Childhood settings, and has familiarity with the Keystone STARS Quality Improvement Program for Childcare Facilities. She has experience working with children with special needs. She volunteers in her church Nursery, and is the mother of three young children. She and her family live in Allegheny Township. Tara is passionate about working with and teaching kids. She studied German and holds a degree in Business Management and also studied at the Art Institute. She especially enjoys the focus on Arts Integration at Sarver Children's Center. Tara is certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR.
